Rav Sheftel Weinberg

Born in Cleveland, raised in California, educated in Bnei Brak, Yerushalayim and Lakewood, Rabbi Weinberg incorporates a surprising combination of styles to interact with his talmidim. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfathers, Rabbi Weinberg uses his broad Torah knowledge to help students to deal with the fundamental problems of life.

At Derech Etz Chaim, R' Sheftel gives a daily bekious shiur that emphasizes mastery of the text and that aims at completing the entire mesechta. He also hosts a popular Q & A forum during which students present various topics for discussion.

The father of three sons and a daughter, R' Sheftel is an avid Star Wars fan who will drink no soft drink other than Coca-Cola and no coffee other than Starbucks.
